The EC85 has an output of 81kW (275,000 BTU/hr) and has a 105l fuel tank (sufficient for 12hrs continuous use). These will run on diesel, kerosene or HVO.

This heater is widely recognised as being amongst the UK's most popular indirect oil fired heaters for use in marquees, temporary structures, the construction industry, the horticultural & agricultural sectors (for the heating of glasshouses, polytunnels and grain drying applications) and is also very popular with the tool hire industry.

The EC85 can quite easily be switched to the required voltage by simply removing the switch cover, setting the switch to the required voltage, and fitting the appropriate power cable and plug. The EC85's 105 litre fuel tank is sufficient to support 12 hours continuous running in the manual position (I); however, the unit is more often operated in conjunction with a Heavy Duty Thermostat in position (II) of the switch. The Heavy Duty Thermostat has a temperature range of -5/+50°C and is supplied with 10m of cable as standard.

Combustion chamber with four smoke loops
The combustion chambers are manufactured using AISI 430 stainless steel with aluminised steel heat exchangers to guarantee a better heat exchange with the cooling air. In model EC 55, EC 85 and PHOEN the new combustion chamber with four smoke loops allows increasing the heat exchange inside it, and so the combustion smokes cooling, obtaining in this way an output of almost 90%.
